After hearing about the STEM-a-thon, a team-based competition by Eduquest by Silver Fern and Imperial London College to offers students a unique platform to showcase their problem-solving skills and collaborate with peers, from the school, our team decided to sign up for it despite the odds.

Due to the short notice, we barely had over a week until we had to submit our video to the school. It was not easy, as we had to pick a topic and idea to work on, research on it, write a script on what we wanted to mention, film the video, and finally edit it to finish the whole process. Merely choosing the idea took longer than we expected, especially since we were on a busy schedule from school and had to brainstorm for it over the weekend. With much though, our team decided to work on SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being since all three of us were interested in the subject, then decided on what we believed to be a good idea (microbial bioengineered probiotics for personalized gut health). Divided the roles was an easier process, although actually carrying out those roles required quite a lot of time and energy from us. After we did our parts, we checked in on each other to see if there's anything we should make changes on.

We managed to film and finish editing the video just on time. All three of us had worked really hard on it, and I felt like we did a good job on it considering the tight timeline. I sincerely hoped that our video would be chosen by the school to be sent to the first round, and I'll admit, I had high hopes because the mentors and some of the teachers we talked to had told us that they loved our idea and script. We ended up getting rejected by the school, but I don't regret signing up for it. We had a lot of fun working on the video together, and it was nice to be in a team where we could all tell each other what a good job we did and how much we enjoyed doing this.

Sore throat from reflux esophagitis??

Healthwise, I've always considered myself to be average. Not too healthy, but definitely not frail either. While I did get sick...
