For those of us who did not make it to the finals, we started out the day by an official tour to Fab India Outlet at Vasant Kunj (the finalists were given time for self-study before the quiz). Fab India is an Indian chain store that sold clothing, accessories, and home decor, and was the company that provided the participants with our outfit for the International Finals. A few also bought some souvenirs here that they would take back to their home countries and gift to their acquaintances. We had the rest of the time for ourselves until the finals would start.

We started moving from the hotel to the India Gate around 4P.M, and the quiz itself started at 5P.M. The India Gate, where the finals took place, is a war memorial that stands as a symbol of valor and sacrifice, commemorating the Indian soldiers who lost their lives fighting for the British Army during World War I. Many people working in the embassies came to support the finalists, and all the semi-finalists sat on each end of the spectators. We watched the stage as the finalists (EU 2, Saudi Arabia, Italy, Brazil, Singapore, Germany, Australia, Netherlands, India) competed to answer the questions. We were also discussing the answer amongst each other below the stage. Unlike the semifinals, we were free to talk about the questions and answers in normal volume, as it was impossible for the finalists to hear us due to the background noises, many people, and the distance from the stage. I wished I could have prepared more and done better in the semi-finals so our team could have been in the finals as well, but it was still nice to be able to figure out the answers all together. Even though we had been sitting for a long time, time seemed to pass quickly. We were having too much fun watching and solving the questions. By the time the International Finals was over, the sky had turned dark with only lights from the stage and around the seats brightening up the place. The quiz ended with Team Singapore emerging as the winner. Congrats, Team Singapore! (And to all the finalists who did their bests:D)

After congratulating each other and taking a group picture to remember the event, we headed to the Navy House for dinner, still in the Indian traditional apparel. We watched a marching band perform and applauded as Team Singapore was given their trophy. Everyone was in high spirits, especially when some of the participants (it started out with one of us before the numbers multiplied) got up the stage together to sing songs such as Shalala Lala by Vengaboys, Rasputin by Boney M., and some others. The Indian cuisine we had was also delectable, with dosa being my favorite dish of the day.
